FAQ

Questions, answered

What is Keel?

A calm place for your health: weight, steps, workouts, your kitchen and your health documents, with a companion you can talk to about all of it.

Is it a diet app?

No. You can set a weight goal if you want one, and Keel will draw a steady curve towards it, but it never scores you, counts streaks or tells you off. Goals are guides.

Is it medical advice?

No. The companion helps you understand your own data and documents, and suggests questions worth asking. For anything that worries you, talk to a doctor or another health professional.

Which devices can it connect to?

Withings scales and Google Health (Fitbit, Pixel Watch) connect directly from Settings. Apple Health can send steps and workouts through an iPhone shortcut, which takes a little more setting up.

Is my health data private?

Only you can see it, and Keel asks for your explicit consent before handling health data. Health documents are stored encrypted, each with its own key. The privacy policy has the detail.

Can it read my blood test?

Yes. Upload the PDF and Keel reads the text from it, so the companion can explain the markers and tell you which document it drew on.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes, in your phone’s browser, and you can add it to your home screen like an app.

What does it cost?

Keel is part of a Meta-Me subscription: £8 a month, with a 30-day free trial, and it includes every Meta-Me app. See pricing.

Can I have my data deleted?

Yes. Get in touch through Meta-Me’s contact page and we will delete it.

Who is it for?

Anyone who wants to look after their health with a bit of support and without the pressure. It is not designed for clinical care or for managing a medical condition.
